Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’

Cercis canadensis ‘Forest Pansy’ is a cultivar of the native eastern U.S. redbud. Forest Pansy is a beautiful, graceful, puprle-leafed form that works well in some shade. In the spring, it’s covered with hot pink flowers that bloom before the leaves come out. The new leaves are red, slowly turning to green as they age. In the fall, it turns a brilliant reddish-purple gold.
