Lewisia columbiana v. columbiana ‘Rosea’ is a striking hybrid developed from the Lewisia native to the Klamath Mountains and ranging into British Columbia.  The genus was named for Meriweather Lewis, co-leader of the Lewis and Clark Expedition.  It blooms in the rock garden in May.
