Synthris missurica ssp. missurica, Kittentails, is listed on the California Native Plant Society’s inventory or rare and endangered plants. Its lavender-blue racemes, looking like kitten tails, are held erect above its round, scalloped leaves. This perennial is found at high elevations and blooms in June and July.
